I believe art embraces any human activity in which an individual, by means of external signs or cues, intra-personally connects with
previous emotional experiences.
As an abstract expressionist, I've learned to value expression over perfection, vitality over polish, fluctuation over repose,
the unknown over the known, the veiled over the clear, the individual over society, and the inner over the outer.
My work, like my mind, floats between the abstract and the surreal. The struggle is to make sense of the initial chaos and then thrust
the elements into Art. Within this dynamic, each art piece essentially designs itself. Shapes form, light dances, and a story unfolds.
I want my work to create an emotional and spiritual link between my audience and myself—a union that arouses the viewer with an intense spectrum of feelings.
Perhaps, by reliving situations of elation or discomfort, the viewer is reminded of past conscious and unconscious experiences. When this occurs I've
accomplished what I was meant to do. I've established a relationship between my art, my audience, and myself.
Currently, the majority of my work is in private collections and galleries around the United States. Private showings can be arranged by contacting me
by phone or via my website.
